For those that have been in the shop these past few months or keep up with our instagram posts (@theglassspectrum), you may know about… the kiln! To celebrate the first firing of our kiln, we invite you to a free community event! I have been so excited to share this experience with you, I have WAITED TWO MONTHS for the weather to cool down. We will celebrate NEXT Saturday, September 19th, 5pm-8pm. Feel free to bring snacks, I will get 2 pies from B&C Pizza (iykyk).

About the event: This is a drop in style event, so little to no instruction will be given– think of it as a time to explore and play! Everyone will get a 4x4 glass coaster and individual pattern to follow. We’ll go over a few techniques and you can decorate however you like! The final project will be unveiled in 1-2 weeks post firing. In my short foray into fusing, I have found it to be full of Fs– freeing, forgiving, flexible, (sometimes) fiddly, full of frit, and fun. Come experiment with us, no experience required!
