Cancellations & Rescheduling
We know life happens! But our classes are intentionally small, our instructors are paid by enrollment, and materials are prepped ahead — so please make sure you can commit before booking. Here's how it works:
Single-session classes
• 14+ days out: Full refund (minus a $20 cancellation fee) or 100% credit toward a future class.
• Inside 14 days: No refunds, but you'll get full credit toward another class.
• Less than 48 hours / no-shows: Payment is forfeited. No refunds or credit, no exceptions.
• The same windows apply to rescheduling.
Multi-week courses
• Non-refundable, but can be transferred to a friend or converted to class credit within a year of booking.
• We don't offer make-up classes. If you miss a regular week or feel behind, you're welcome to join us for Open Studio at the current student rate ($15 for 3 hours).
• Please don't sign up if you already know you'll miss multiple weeks. In general, missing one class is okay, two is a little hairy.
• Each week we learn a new skill that builds toward your finished project. Some skills are easy to catch up on. Others, like soldering, are critical and take the whole class session to teach. Missing a critical skills week may mean you can't finish your project without private instruction you'll need to make it up with an instructor at our private rate ($135/hr) scheduling depends on instructor and workbench availability.
Age Requirements
• Participants must be at least 13 years old unless otherwise noted in the class description. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a participating (registered and paid) guardian.
Can't make it? Send a friend!
Any seat can be transferred once to another person — just email us their name before class.
