Pressed Flower Inclusions -- Custom Surfboards

Its officially summer in SoCal, come take the time to learn a new skill. Make every day a glassy day, learn to cut, shape and customize your perfect board— in stained glass! This single-day stained glass workshop is the perfect way to dig into the basics of stained glass. You'll learn how to safely cut glass, grind, foil, and solder while creating a beautiful summer inspired sun catcher. This is a beginner friendly class with an advanced technique.

In this 5-hour class, you will:

  • Select your your glass from our personal collection

  • Learn to cut glass

  • Grind your pieces for a perfect fit

  • Select flowers to place inclusions

  • Apply copper foil using the Tiffany method

  • Solder your piece to bring it all together

Additions skills: This is an advanced technique of layering glass with inclusions. I’ll go over how to avoid rot, flower pressing and preservation, and a demo on edge beading and patina. Prior experience helpful but not required.

Date & Time: 10:00am – 4:30pm
(all materials included) but if you have flowers already pressed, please bring them!

Please bring snacks! We will have a 30 min lunch break

We understand life happens, Cancellations given within a week will result in 50% credit towards a future class. Less than 48 hours and/or no shows will result in forfeiture of payment. No Refunds, No exceptions. Classes can be transferred once.
