Join us for our five-week stained glass class Saturdays 1 PM to 4 PM:

You can register for the beginner's class online or in person. If you have any questions or need more information about class registration dates, feel free to email us or text Kristin at 973-216-9559.

Class info: Students will learn all the steps to make a copper foil panel ~ 12” × 12” (our suggested size for beginners). Students are encouraged to bring drawings in for reference or gather inspiration online.

Price includes tool use and instruction during class (soldering irons, grinders, projector, drafting tools, etc).

Beginner kits are now available! Students will receive 10% discount on kits and select tools.

You are welcome to bring your own glass and materials or purchase from us. :)

Classes are limited to 10 students. Please wear closed toed shoes.

REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS

Please make sure you can commit to this class before purchasing. If you find you can no longer attend please give us a weeks notice. We understand life happens, Cancellations given within a week will result in 50% credit towards a future class. Less than 48 hours and/or no shows will result in forfeiture of payment. No Refunds, No exceptions. Classes can be transferred once.

If you are purchasing as a gift, please use the “gift card“ option or email Kristin. We run these classes every six weeks or so. In general, missing one class is okay, two is a little hairy.

This class is designed for complete beginners and those looking to enhance their skills. Under the expert guidance of Greg Atwood—a master artisan with over fifty years of experience. We’re excited to take you on this journey as you dive into the heritage and craftsmanship that have defined stained glass for centuries.  With this foundation, your stained glass creations can last for decades, becoming cherished pieces that you can pass down through generations. If you’re inspired to continue your journey, you can re-enroll and take on larger projects. Into DIY? Past students have drafted and created their own stained glass panels for cabinets, bookcases, and transoms.

Classes generally follow this structure depending on class ability and personal ambition. For beginners we strongly recommend sticking to dimensions within a 12”x12” and limiting pieces to under 25 to go home with a finished project by the fifth week. 

First Week: Proper safety precautions, glass cutting techniques, and essentials of pattern design

Second Week: Pattern design, choosing glass, cutting

Third Week: Continue cutting, grinding,

Fourth Week: Cutting, grinding, principles of copper foiling

Fifth Week: Copper foiling, final assembly, soldering and optional patina.
